Why You’re Ready To Start With Entrepreneurship Today
I’m here in Iceland and I want to talk about what I discussed with my mentor yesterday. We both coach people and we’ve both noticed a common theme among our clients. That is, beginners tend to focus on putting lots of knowledge in a library. Beginners like to compile this huge mass of information, all of which they’re never going to use. It’s about becoming smarter and more knowledgeable about business. It’s not about getting concrete results.
So I’m actually writing this article to motivate you and also to show you what it’s like if you can get past just acquiring knowledge, and step into the field of implementation.
TMI – Too Much Information
In the last four years as an entrepreneur, and while running a business, I’ve been to 29 or 30 countries. Today I’m in Iceland and in a few days I’m going to Vancouver. That’s the lifestyle that being an entrepreneur affords me. My point is that I wasn’t always enjoying this level of success.
I used to be a theory junkie too. I would read books all the time and not implement. What happened is that I thought I understood entrepreneurship because of all the books I read, but I really didn’t. This actually lasted for a few years and it didn’t help me at all until I realized one thing.
Only once I implement will all of this knowledge actually be helpful.
I literally had to realize that I didn’t have to be an expert and I didn’t have to know everything before I could start to implement. Once I realized this, I began to take action. I focused on one thing and I began to do what I already knew that I should do. After that I started to get results. The outcome is that now I live an entrepreneurial lifestyle and I get to travel the world.
You Already Know Enough
This article is one big call to action. Look at all the information you have, all the products you’ve bought, all the information that you’ve gotten from mentors, and I want you to think:
“Is this enough to start a business?”
In most situations, whether you realize it or not, it is enough. That means that it’s time to implement. You need to take the next step and begin taking action. It’s time to get started. It’s time to travel the world. It’s time to start a business. I started from scratch too. I didn’t even have a mentor and the information wasn’t as good as it is now.
Right now you have the most opportunities out of any point in human history. You have more of a chance now to make a business and become an entrepreneur than you’ve ever had before. Of course, most people aren’t going to become super successful over night. The truth is though, every single entrepreneur started with a single step, and that’s all that I would ask of you.
That’s it, one single step forward.
Humble Beginnings
Take action and create a habit. Find a way to create a daily, weekly and monthly habit. Once you do this you’ll begin to see results. You won’t see results just by reading or by learning. You have to go out and actually take the first step. After you do that, you’ll notice that taking the second step is actually easier. You’ll begin to see a few more results, the process will get a little bit better, you’ll make a little bit bigger sale, and your real practical knowledge will increase a little bit.
But for right now, all you have to do is take the first step. Forget the books and the overly complicated theory. Forget all of the websites and, the consultants, and everything else that is filling your head. Just do what you already know and implement!
Implement the first week and see what happens. You will feel instantly better and you’ll begin to see the results pile on. Even if it’s only small results and you don’t make a million dollar, it doesn’t matter, it’s still results. You’ll notice that once you start to do this, people are going to be amazed. Almost no one can actually take those first steps and get going. If you can do it, you’ll quickly find the motivation and you’ll want to keep going and taking more action.
That’s all I have to say about it. If you take the first step and implement, you are capable of building an awesome business and becoming an entrepreneur. If you want to learn more about sales, marketing and entrepreneurship, please subscribe to my YouTube channel.
