Our Story So Far

The Beginning: “Solo Struggles

In the middle of the global economic recession, straight out of college in Belgium, I spent my days in a crummy studio apartment, and wondered how on Earth I could get more money and more fun, interesting people into my life.

Everyone else around me was trying to get a job at a nice big safe company. Though I had no interest sitting in an office filling in paperwork and building someone else’s business with no opportunity to learn the skills that it takes to become truly successful.

And besides, I sensed the world was changing. The way people worked was changing. How long would these old-style “office careers” last? I’d read in a book, “If you want to survive the future… if you want life to go somewhere, then go where the puck is going, not where it’s been”.

I visited local companies and made sales here and there. But only small, one-off, unrelated sales of little website and social media marketing projects.

I learned a lot, but it was all just “dabbling”. There was never any traction or profit worth mentioning. I even found myself waiting tables at one point to pay off debt and taxes – ouch.

Finally, a Mentor 

So what could I do? I dropped everything and moved to Barcelona. I frequented conferences and seminars, and I suppose my enthusiasm for the new city shined through, because I managed to connect with a mentor who’d been in business 10+ years and had a 7-figure business.

I helped him with marketing in any way I could, and he was happy to point out how I was doing absolutely everything wrong and guide me in the right direction. He introduced me to millionaires and a billionaire and I learned advice that I still use to this day.

For the first time ever, I was getting proper feedback from real entrepreneur, and learning the truth about success in business. And for the first time, I was operating my business like a real business. Consistent leads and sales, retainers, recurring income, outsourcing, referrals, and so on. Life was finally secure.

I’d been collecting all this knowledge, and a friend suggested I post it to online social media, so I did. My content was really well received, and people began to ask questions, paying for 1-on-1 consultations here and there, and reporting positive results.

At one point, the number of 1-on-1 consultations became simply too many to handle, so I created a community of entrepreneur mentors to be more effective. And after 6 months or so, we had 25-30 members and we were meeting up in cool places like Prague, Iceland, Hong Kong. It was really cool to see everyone enjoying this growing worldwide network of entrepreneurs.

The Middle: “Do What Works Best

In those “old days” we were doing a very cool business model, in which members built niche YouTube channels, then invited their audiences to free consultations, where they used our sales training to sell high ticket coaching.

Some students had some really cool services, like teaching rap, bodybuilding, or real estate. However, I wasn’t satisfied with the typical result for members being only 5 figures per month. Luckily a big breakthrough was just around the corner.

At that time, all the advice was coming directly from me. I was trying to carry the whole world on my shoulders, telling people “you should do this, you should do that, because it worked for me!”

But then one day, one student broke from advice and began to cold-call clients. He implemented the sales skills we’d taught and began closing multiple 5-figure deals per week, so something like $20-30 k per month at that time (he’s way past millionaire now).

He organized a group call with the students, and then what do you know, surprise, surprise, other students implemented his advice and began to get similar results.

And so, we learned that we get the best results when we followed the best practices of the members who were getting the most success.

With this interesting philosophy, as well as the great results our members were getting, word broke out and we began to see upward of 2 dozen new members per month.

The Now: “The Fine-Tuned Machine”

When you’re lucky enough to have a community of over 200 active people constantly testing new business tactics, strategies and funnels, and you keep refining and refining, throwing out the junk, and keeping the pure gold, you can be sure to generate extraordinary blueprints for extremely fine-tuned business machines.

In the past year, each new member has been able to harness the power of literally hundreds of successful members’ proven best practices.

We’re at a point now, where we can take someone who knows nothing about business, but has relevant marketing tech and creative skills, and in a few months, they could be running a 6-figure business, and forever free from the shackles of their day job. (Of course, that is assuming they’re intelligent, ambitious, hardworking and passionate – someone of “true grit” and to some degree lucky). And it doesn’t stop there – our members put their eyes on 7 figures and 8 figures, and they’re not the type to back down.

And what’s possibly even more amazing than the business success, is that this has become a whole community. It’s an entrepreneurial movement.  

Being part of a powerful community leverages your life. You’re no longer some solo “want-trepreneur”, facing down huge burdens without support, encouragement or guidance. Instead you’ve got down-to-Earth people who have already “made it”, helping you learn at a great pace and elevate yourself to higher and higher levels.

Building businesses, attracting noteworthy clients, creating real value for people and communities, meeting up all over the world… It’s really an amazing way to live.

Looking Back: “The 3 Epiphanies That Made Us So Successful

Zooming out to 40,000 feet, it’s easy to see the few things propelled us forward. I like to mention these because in a way they’re our “company culture”… our “business philosophy”, and we want potential members to be in line with that. 

Epiphany 1: “Student Contribution is Key

We are constantly and rapidly upgrading our business models to be more robust, consistent and effective. And the way we do that is with proven data about what’s working right now.

The world is constantly changing and no one person can know everything, but with a group effort, with each member contributing their best proven tactics and strategies for leads, sales, management and delivery, it’s possible to run truly cutting-edge businesses that contribute high value and genuinely deserved high returns.

Epiphany 2: “The Right People

When I first started the community, I was more than happy to take almost anyone. Now I consider that a catastrophic approach for any business. When we finally chose to only let in people who were similar in personality, values and intelligence to successful members, that was the key moment when our success become exponential. Screening applications and rejecting most people led us to an insanely high success ratio, as well as happiness, cohesion and productivity throughout the community.

Epiphany 3: “Members’ Clients’ Success

We have 10 calls a week that focus not only on lead generation, or funnels, or sales… but also on being a good business person. That means conducting business with integrity, sincerity and authenticity, and doing everything in your power to ensure your clients receive the outcomes they’re looking for.

We’re not only here for purely selfish success. We’re also here to do big things in the world, to contribute, to make an impact, to upgrade culture. Time and time again, it’s the people with a colossal “reason why” that are the most successful.
