How To Turn Yourself From A Herbivore Entrepreneur To A Carnivore Entrepreneur
In this article, I want to address something I’ve been seeing lately. It’s about the prevalence of people, and entrepreneurs who don’t want to sell.
I call them the herbivore entrepreneurs – they just want to write content, and coach people for free, and gain experience, and keep learning about entrepreneurship, but they won’t implement shit all when it comes to actually getting sales.
In business you need to get sales – business is about getting sales first and foremost. If you’re not getting people into your funnel, if you’re not seeding the idea that you’re offering something for a fee, if you’re not seeding the idea that you have products, and services you can sell, and if you don’t get people on a call, and sell to people – you’re not running a business, you’re running something on the side (a hobby).
You can get out of this herbivore mentality by becoming a little bit of a predator. You don’t want to become too much of a predator, because that would scare people away. You need to be a little bit of a predator, because you need that if you want to succeed in business.
Start off by doing sales for the next 30 calls – the next time you talk to any client, I have a challenge for you. Try to sell no matter what, try to sell if they can’t afford it, try to sell it if they don’t need your coaching, or your product or service, or whatever you’re selling.
No matter what, for the next 30 times you talk to a client, no more fucking research, no more free coaching, no more learning about entrepreneurship. It’s time to implement, if you’re not implementing, you’re not growing your business.
You’re going to have to get a job, and waste your time slaving away for someone else who can implement, and get you to implement for them.
