How Luis Got to His First $20k/Month as a Web Development Agency Owner

I wanted to share with you a great story from one of Business Mentor Insiders (BMI) members, Luis. Last month he had one of his best months yet in terms of revenue that his agency pulled in. He managed to double his revenue from $10K to $20K in just one month. To top it all off he has managed to retain 50% of revenues as profits for himself.

Luis runs a web development agency that builds websites for clients who want an online presence. Before starting his agency he was working as a freelance web developer while he was attending university. His earnings at the time were only about $1K per month which didn’t provide him with the freedom to travel that he desired.

What Did He Learn From BMI?

Luis says that through BMI he was able to learn how to establish a sales and marketing funnel for his business which has helped him to close more clients. Before BMI he didn’t know anything about sales and didn’t have that much confidence to put himself out there to find new clients. The mentors he has had through BMI have taught him how to make sales and he now says he is much more confident when having to talk with clients. His agency is currently closing projects at around $4.5K per project amount and is looking to go for even bigger contracts in the future now that his agency is well established. 

He has also learned how to hire freelancers to help him with project delivery. He says that knowing how to do this effectively has helped him to operate more as a business owner than just a freelancer like he was before. He has built structures into his business so that everything from client onboarding, payments, and project delivery has been outsourced to his employees and through software. This has allowed him to reduce the number of hours he has to work each day on his business, which in turn has given him a whole lot more freedom. His agency now employs 6 full-time employees and he is looking to hire even more people to keep up with business growth.

Another great feature of BMI according to Luis is that you get access to great mentors who help you with growing your business. For every problem that you have, there is someone within BMI who can help you out. Having access to all of this knowledge on tap has allowed Luis to build and grow his agency much faster. It is amazing to be surrounded by a great group of fellow business owners, he says.

Who Would He Recommend BMI to?

Luis says that if you want to start an agency business you have to be prepared to commit all your time to it. There is so much to learn and there are no shortcuts to learning everything that you need to. He would recommend BMI to anyone that wants to create a life for themselves where they have more freedom and control over where and what they work on. 

Did He Have Any Doubts Before Joining BMI?

Luis didn’t know if BMI was 100% legitimate and if they would be able to help him to launch his business. He says that talking to a couple of friends who were already members helped him to resolve any doubts that he had.
