How Lars Went From 0 to Running an Explainer Video Agency in Germany

I wanted to share a quick story with you about how we helped Lars, a student of Business Mentor from Germany.

Lars Winkelkötter is the founder and CEO of Digital Trend Media, an online marketing agency that specializes in explainer videos in Germany.

This is his story about his journey through the Business Mentor Insider (BMI) program, and how the program helped him to get to where he is today.

Two Years Ago…

Lars joined BMI at the end of 2018 and had nothing to his name, he was living off his savings after his drop shipping business failed. Like so many other people that have a setback, he was struggling to see away out of his predicament and was even forced to move back in with his parents.

However, the entrepreneurial bug was still alive within him, and he knew his next foray into business was going to be starting a service business, but he didn’t know how to get started or which service he was going to offer.

After researching online, he came across the BMI Mastermind program and got on a call with me which led to him joining the program. Lars now says this was easily one of the best decisions he has ever made in his life.

What Lars Learned From BMI

How to Sell

Lars says the most important thing he learned through BMI was how to sell; how to sell yourself, and how to sell your service. BMI gave him a sales blueprint that was a step by step action plan on how to sell, what to say to clients, and how to convince potential customers to hire you and your agency. Lars says this was a major learning moment for him since he didn't ever think sales was something he would be good at.

How to Build a Business

Lars learned how to build up a business from A to Z with as little investment as possible. He learned that you don’t need a lot of money to get started if you can acquire clients quickly. After sales Lars says the next most important thing he learned was how to hire other freelancers to help you to complete projects. According to Lars, learning all about leveraging the time and skills of other people was eye opening.

The Power Of Mentors

When you join BMI, you get access to the BMI community of entrepreneurs and mentors. Lars found it was a great part of the experience because you are surrounded by other people learning 24/7 and it was a great support network to bounce ideas around and ask advice with people on the same journey as you are. It is especially great to talk to people who are ahead of you in terms of learning – they help you get into the next level.

Where Is Lars Now?

When Lars started with us in 2018, he had nothing (his words) and now he runs a big agency with a big team, and has clients in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. I will leave the final word to Lars, who says:
