How To Get Thousands Of Dollars In Sales At Business Events

In this article you will find out exactly how by going to a networking event, you can make thousands of dollars in sales. This is much easier than cold calling or going to companies and selling because you can meet hundreds of decision makers in one single event.

So how do you actually do this?

What Most people do:

Most people when they go to a networking event, like a marketing conference or a specialized event in a certain industry, they just stand around. Maybe they’ll talk to some people that they already know. Maybe they’ll get introduced to one or two people. Maybe something happens. Maybe they’ll get a few business cards, but that’s it.

Here’s what I do:

I talk to every single person at the event, unless there is a thousand people, that would be impossible. I talk to as many people as possible and find out what their business is about and decide whether or not my product or service , can help them. I find out their issues in their business and get their business card. I write down what I can do for them, take a picture of their business card and upload it into evernote.

Establish yourself as an authority.

You let your potential customer know what you can do for them, and what they can implement for themselves. I’ve had someone offer me a flight to Canada to teach their team because I established myself as an authority.If you are an authority and you know what you are talking about, it is very easy to have them do business with you. If you can get on stage at an event it is much easier to sell to the audience because you are already an authority. You simply let them know what you can do for them and what they can implement for themselves!


Don’t waste anyone’s time.

Don’t just stand around , ask them questions that are straight to the point. Screen through the 100s of people at the event to find the clients that fit your business. See if they have enough money and the desire to expand. If they are buying into your ideas, then great! This is the client you need. Get their business card and Scan it into evernote. Don’t forget to send a personalized email to everyone you have talked to, to remind them about who you are.

You can still do this as a newbie!

You don’t need to be a master salesman! You don’t need to know everything about marketing either. You just need to know what you are talking about and have a very well defined product.

Try this out!

Attend local networking events even if they are small ones like on meetup.com. Go to them and talk to every person. Get their story, connect them to your product ,follow up, and close the sale. I guarantee you will get sales and it is much much easier than cold calling.
