Business Success Mindset – How To Build Alliances (The Easy Way)

When I started in my business journey eight years ago I believed that you need to be able to figure out everything all by yourself. I thought it was up to me to find the right business model, find what I had to do next, learn and master the right skills and that this would make me a true entrepreneur. I thought being a true entrepreneur meant that they did not need help from anyone

I read self-help books and I learned the principle that you become the average of the five people you surround yourself with. I got a mentor and noticed I got results much quicker. Then I discovered there is a next, higher level that allows you to get more success. This meant not just surrounding yourself with like-minded peers or mentors, but going even one step further.

The technique I found was the building of alliances. You need to find people in your life that help you get to where you want to be. This does not only mean getting referrals for a business or just improving your sales, but what you should be looking for are people you can call at any time and they will be ready to help you. These people are the types to talk behind your back but say good things about you.

Why is this important?

Let us use the example of jobs. If you have a job and work in a big corporation where you always walk around saying how awesome you are, how fantastic your skills are, bragging about your accomplishments, and how much money you are making the company, people are not going to like you much. However if you team up with someone, your friend or your ally, and they are always giving compliments about you, what is going to happen is more people will begin to say good things about you because someone else did. This form of information spread about you is not frowned upon.

You can do this in business as well. If a lot of people talk about you, and someone needs something that you are a supplier for, people will come to you because you are the only person people talk about.

It is almost impossible to get sales unless people are talking well about you – not necessarily one person, but groups of people too. Once you get groups of people talking well about you, you are able to get sales easier, grow your business easier, find what you need easier, and everything good seems to come to you easier. This makes your life as an entrepreneur much easier because it is the ultimate type of connection.

Imagine if you have hundreds of people talking well about you. For example, one of the instructors of this mastermind I have called Daily Business Hustle, found the mastermind in an interesting way. He was standing in line at McDonald’s and overheard someone talking about the group. He was introduced, applied, was accepted, joined, and became an instructor.

How did this happen?

This all happened because someone was speaking well about me. If I went into McDonald’s and starting speaking well about myself then no one would really care.

How do you create these alliances?

You need a level of friendship, people need to look up to you, and you need to create a lot of content. The best way is to speak one-on-one with people and agree to speak well about each other. Go to a marketing seminar and speak a little about yourself but remember to build up your friend a lot. Imagine you do this to at least five people at each marketing event you go to now. You will have people knocking down your door to do business with you and to connect with you. This is human nature and how it can work.

The Syndicate Effect explains that when everyone around you says good things about a product or service, you will be much more interested in the product and convinced in participating with it. This is one of the best marketing techniques out there for any business.
